Bayern Munich will start the defence of their DFB-Pokal crown with a clash against minnows BSV SW Rehden in the first round.

The draw for the opening stage of the 2013-14 competition was made on Saturday and pitted fourth-tier Rehden against the reigning Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal and UEFA Champions League holders.

Elsewhere in the draw, Regionalliga Nord outfit Wilhelmshaven have been paired with Champions League finalists Borussia Dortmund, while Schott Jena will face Hamburg.

In the only match between sides from the top two divisions, promoted Bundesliga 2 outfit Karlsruher have been paired at home in the seeded draw with Wolfsburg.

Duisburg’s participation in the competition is still to be clarified, as they face a wait to discover if they will be granted a licence to play in Bundesliga 2 next season.

They will face Osnabrueck or Paderborn in the first round, depending on the outcome of the current legal proceedings.

Bayern became only the seventh European team to claim the league, domestic cup and Champions League title in the same season with a 3-2 victory against Stuttgart in the 2013 final.
