German media outlet Bild has learned that Bayern Munich have joined the race for Schalke hotshot Leroy Sane.
It is believed that Manchester City are leading the chase for the Germany starlet as new manager Pep Guardiola is keen on bringing him to Etihad Stadium, but it looks as though his former club are in the mix as well.
With veteran winger Arjen Robben picking up another adductor muscle injury, the Bavarians reportedly want to recruit Sane as a long-term replacement for the Netherlands international.
Bild claims they have established initial contact with their Bundesliga rivals and they will take things from there.
Leroy Sane quickly developed into one of Germany’s most talented footballers and he even made Die Mannschaft squad for the Euro 2016 finals.
The 20-year-old winger was in excellent form last season, having managed 8 goals and 6 assists in 33 Bundesliga outings, while netting once in seven Europa League fixtures.
