Bayern want Sebastian Rode

German daily Bild claims Bayern Munich are keeping close tabs on Eintracht Frankfurt starlet Sebastian Rode.

After signing several foreigners in the summer, the Bavarians look ready to turn their attention towards fresh German talent.

Bayern have already agreed to sign Mainz defender Jan Kirchhoff when his contract expires in the summer, with another Bundesliga hotshot likely to follow.

Bild understands the Bavarians have set their sights on Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Sebastian Rode.

Eintracht chiefs are aware that the 22-year-old is unlikely to sign an extension to his deal that is set to expire in June 2014, but, nonetheless, want to keep him at the club for as long as possible.

Bayer are expected to test their resolve with a €5 million bid this January, and thus try and pip rivals Borussia Dortmund to the player’s signature.

BVB are also keen on the player who admits that he is a big fan of the Millionaires.
