AC Milan midfielder David Beckham is hopeful an injury sustained on Wednesday evening does not turn out to be serious. The former England captain was replaced in the 71st minute of Milan’s 1-1 draw against Genoa, after he had opened the scoring with an excellent free-kick in the first half.
“It’s the abductor. We’ll have to see how it is in the next days,” the 33-year-old said.”I felt it before the game and then again just before half-time. I got to 20 minutes in the second half and I felt it a little bit more. It’s painful, but hopefully I will be fit for the game at the weekend”.
