Lokeren moved to third in the Belgian First Division with a 3-2 win at out-of-form Kortrijk on Friday.

Despite sitting seventh on the table, Kortrijk entered the game without a win in four and their poor run continued in an entertaining match.

Swiss defender Mijat Maric opened the scoring for Lokeren after 17 minutes and he added a penalty 10 minutes before the break.

Cameroon attacker Ernest N’For pulled a goal back for Kortrijk on 38 minutes but their task of gaining at least a point was made more difficult when Argentine Pablo Chavarria was sent off on the hour-mark.

Despite being reduced to 10 men, Kortrijk were given a golden opportunity to equalise when Lokeren defender Laurens De Bock conceded a penalty on 66 minutes.

But although Ervin Zukanovic missed the chance from the spot, Kortrijk eventually got their equaliser 12 minutes from time when Moroccan midfielder Mustapha Oussalah netted.

Parity was short-lived though as Tunisian attacker Hamdi Harbaoui bagged the winner with eight minutes remaining to delight the away fans.
