Anderlecht won for a seventh straight time in the Belgian First Division on Saturday to extend their lead to six points.

Venezuelan Ronald Vargas scored the winner a minute from time as Anderlecht came from a goal down to steal all three points against Cercle Brugge.

Lucas Biglia had cancelled out Mushaga Bakenga’s strike from the penalty spot on 71 minutes as the home side went on to win 2-1.

Second-placed Zulte-Waregem could not find a goal against Beerschot in a 0-0 draw as they stay just a point ahead of Lokeren in third.

Jeremy Perbet bagged a double as Mons scored an impressive 3-0 away win at Lierse while Leuven and Gent were locked at 1-1.

Nicklas Pedersen scored in the second half to rescue a point for Mechelen at Club Brugge in a 1-1 draw and Charleroi defeated Kortrijk 2-0 to edge four points clear of the relegation playoff.
