Anderlecht powered on toward their 32nd Belgian First Division title with a 2-0 away win over third-placed Lokeren on Saturday.

Striker Tom De Sutter opened the scoring four minutes after the break before Ukrainian substitute Oleksandr Iakovenko wrapped up the points in second-half stoppage time, after Brazilian striker Kanu missed a penalty in the72nd minute.

It was Anderlecht’s 11th consecutive victory in the domestic league and kept them eight points clear of second-placed Zulte-Waregam, who comfortably overcame Lierse 2-0 at home.

Goals to Karel D’Haene (28th minute) and Franck Berrier (51st), who converted his own blocked penalty, took Zulte’s unbeaten run to 12 league games.

A 92nd-minute winner condemned Genk to a 2-1 loss away to Mechelen with the result allowing the victors to put Genk’s sixth position under pressure.

In other results, Waasland-Beveren defeated OH Leuven 2-0 while Beerschot and Mons fought out a 0-0 draw.
