Club Brugge climbed into fourth spot on the Belgian First Division ladder after a 1-0 win over Sporting Charleroi on Sunday.

Bjorn Vleminckx was the match winner for the home side after converting a Ryan Donk pass in the 53rd minute.

In the day’s other game, OH Leuven scored a last-gasp penalty to salvage a 1-1 draw against Genk.

Mario Been’s men appeared to be heading towards their eighth win of the year after Glynor Plet put them ahead in the 21st minute.

But they made a critical error right at the death, conceding a penalty in the 93rd minute which was converted by Ebrahima Savaneh to gift Leuven a share of the spoils.
