Defending champions Anderlecht extended their lead at the top of the Belgian First Division as Zulte-Waregem were held to a goalless draw.

Anderlecht moved four points clear at the summit courtesy of a late 1-0 win over Kortrijk on Sunday.

The Belgian giants went into the game full of confidence having netted a stunning 15 goals during their three-game winning run.

However, the match appeared destined for a scoreless draw before Dieumerci Mbokani struck a 90th-minute winner at the Constant Vanden Stock Stadium.

Zulte-Waregem lost ground to Anderlecht following their uninspiring draw at home to Standard Liege.

Both sides failed to find the back of the net as Francky Dury’s men recorded a second consecutive draw.

Meanwhile, Lokeren made it six wins in succession with a narrow 1-0 victory at home to 10-man Beerschot.

Stijn Wuytens received his marching orders with four minutes remaining and it proved costly as substitute Benjamin Mokulu Tembe netted the winning goal three minutes into stoppage time.
