Younes Belhanda has shrugged off reports that has backed out of his new contract with Dynamo Kiev.
The Moroccan signed for the Ukrainian outfit from Montpellier on Sunday but L’Equipe claimed on Tuesday that he had only signed a pre-contract agreement at the Olympic Stadium, and could still sign for another club.
A move to the Premier League had been mooted for Belhanda, who scored 10 goals in 30 appearances last season, but the playmaker insists that he is committed to Kiev.
“I am very glad to become a player of Dynamo Kiev,” he told the club’s official website.
“The day before yesterday (Sunday) I signed a five-year contract with the club.
“Dynamo are the top club in Europe, who I very much want to play for and with whom I dream to win the Ukrainian championship. I hope to play a key role in the team, especially in the Europa League.
“I will not comment on rumours which appeared in the French press. I can only say that I’m a Dynamo player and will represent the colours of the club in the coming years.”
