According to La Parisien, Hatem Ben Arfa could be taking legal action against former club Paris Saint-Germain. The 31 year old left the French champions in the wake of a thoroughly unhappy spell there, which included being fined due to his failure to attend a winter training camp in Qatar. Alas, his lawyer, Jean-Jacques Bertrand, has drawn up a document which accuses the club of harassing Ben Arfa on a weekly basis. He will be seeking an employment tribunal as a result of this, and it’s fair to say that the ordeal will likely last for quite some time.

Ben Arfa has always been a fairly controversial figure in the world of football, and that doesn’t seem like something that’s too ‘taboo’ to say. Throughout his spells with Lyon, Marseille, Newcastle United, Hull, Nice, PSG and now Rennes, he’s been known to be a little bit hit and miss. Now, though, hopefully he’ll be able to find some happiness with Rennes after all of this is over.
