Inter Milan midfielder Marco Benassi says team-mate Esteban Cambiasso is a role model for him, while he also hailed Javier Zanetti.

The 18-year-old recently made his first-team debut at Inter, and he is determined to prove his worth in the remainder of the 2012/13 campaign.

“All my team-mates have helped me in my development, though obviously no-one’s got as much experience as Zanetti and Cambiasso,” Benassi told Mediaset.

“Who do I look to as my role model? In my position I’d say Cambiasso.

“At the moment I’m just focused on doing as well as I possibly can, then in July I’ll sit down with the club and we’ll decide what to do next season.”

The midfielder looked ahead to the Serie A clash against Juventus after the international break, and said Inter will do their utmost to get a good result against their rivals.

Benassi said: “We have an important match coming up against Juventus, historically there’s a lot of rivalry there and we have to try and get a good result.”

Benassi has made eight official appearances for Inter so far.
