Eintracht Frankfurt’s technical director Bruno Huebner has confirmed that Nicklas Bendtner’s deal hinges on the club’s financial situation.
The 25-year-old made his Arsenal debut in 2005 but has been pushed down the pecking order in recent seasons and spent last term on loan at Juventus.
On Tuesday the Bundesliga club released a statement on their official website revealing that talks with the Danish striker were in progress and they expected a final decision “in the next two days”.
However, it appears that his wages could prove a stumbling block.
“With Arsenal there is no problem,” Huebner told The Frankfurter Rundschau.
“One knows about the complexity of the story.
“It is now up to us to decide whether it is financially feasible.”
Bendtner failed to score for Juventus in his 10 appearances.
