Benevento ponder shock moves for Nasri, Song

Serie A basement club Benevento have launched an ambitious assault on former Premier League stars Samir Nasri and Alex Song.

Despite sitting 13 points adrift of safety with 15 games to go, the minnows still hope to survive the current campaign, and they recently recruited former Premiership footballers Sandro and Bacary Sagna.

What is more, Benevento will attempt to recruit fellow free agents Samir Nasri and Alex Song, although they are worried that the Frenchman could receive a doping ban.

Meanwhile, Alex Song has been training with Arsenal after leaving Rubin Kazan over unpaid wages, and it remains to be seen whether the Cameroonian will be interested in joining the Serie A strugglers.

After recording first two wins of the campaign at the turn of the year, Benevento went on to suffer defeats to Bologna, Torino and Napoli.
