Midfielder Nicolas Benezet has confirmed that he has signed for Coupe de France finalists Evian following a move from Nimes.
The Ligue 1 side have reportedly secured the services of the promising 22-year-old for one-and-a-half million euros from Nimes.
Benezet netted nine goals in 33 appearances in Ligue 2 last season.
“I hesitated for a long time between Sochaux and Evian, but my preference was for Evian,” he told FranceFootball.fr.
“I said to myself that I shouldn’t go against my first instinct.”
The France Under-20 international also claimed that the deal was set to last four years, but Evian are yet to officially confirm this.
