Benfica welcome Portimonense to the Estádio da Luz to face Portimonense in the Portuguese Primeira Liga on Friday evening, and are big favourites to come out on top given the contrasting form between the two clubs. Victory for Benfica could see them go top of the table if results go their way.

As for the hosts, Rui Vitória’s Benfica side are currently third in the Portuguese Primeira Liga with 10 points from four games, having won three against Braga, Chaves and Belenenses, before drawing with Rio Ave. They are just two points adrift of top spot and could leapfrog leaders Sporting Lisbon if they can see past Portimonense.
