Benfica Lisbon maintain pressure on Portuguese league leaders Leixoes with a 0-2 win at Academica de Coimbra on Sunday.

Amorim opened the score on 31 minutes and Cardozo extended the away side’s lead shortly after the interval.

Benfica remain in second place at one point from Leixoes, and a comfortable four-points advantage over Nacional Funchal.

Nacional in turn, booked a narrow win over CD Trofense thanks to a goal from Luis Alberto in the 22nd minute. The Funchal outfit played most of the match without Juninho who needed only 14 minutes to collect two bookings.
