Portuguese newspaper Record understands that Benfica are closing in on Cerro Porteno midfielder Jorge Luis Rojas Meza.

The Portuguese giants have already secured the signings of Miralem Sulejmani from Ajax and Filip Djuricic from Heerenveen, and they continue to work on the summer recruitments.

According to Record, the Eagles are set to wrap up the deal for Cerro Porteno midfielder Jorge Rojas.

The source claims the Praguayan club officials are on their way to Portugal to sort out the final details of the transfer, and reports suggest the agreement could be reached by the end of the day.

However, Lyon, Toulouse and Borussia Dortmund are all keeping tabs on the talented midfielder and they might try and beat Benfica to the player’s signature.

Jorge Rojas, 20, has made a total of 52 league appearances for Cerro Porteno, while he started all nine games for the national team at the Under-20 South American Championship held this winter.
