Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema remains confident his team has what it takes to catch Barcelona and retain their La Liga title.
The reigning champions trail their arch-rivals by 11 points, but Benzema is optimistic about Real’s chances of mounting a comeback.
“We all believe that we can catch Barcelona. The title race is not over just yet,” Benzema told AS.
“The defeat against Betis was a blow and we were all a bit down after that defeat. However, the win over Atletico has raised our spirits again.
“We are back on track now and will do our utmost to win the league. We cannot afford to spill any more points, but we will fight for the title.”
Madrid are preparing for their away match against Valladolid on Saturday.
