France international Karim Benzema will stay at Real Madrid next season, according to his agent.

The Spanish club’s general manager Jose Angel Sanchez was quoted as saying earlier in the week that Benzema would remain at the Bernabeu, with Argentine Gonzalo Higuain heading for the exit.

He told Le 10 Sport: “In a big club like Real Madrid, it is assumed there is space for two or three high-level No.9s.

“It was Benzema and Higuain. Higuain will go, Benzema will stay, and two others will arrive.”

Benzema’s agent Karim Djaziri has now confirmed that his client will not look over offers from the likes of Paris Saint-Germain or Juventus either.

He said: “As I have already said on numerous occasions, and I will never get tired of repeating it, my client will not be leaving Madrid.

“(Jose) Mourinho’s potential departure does not change anything. A transfer is out of the question.”

The 25-year-old striker has a contract with Madrid until June 2015, scoring nine goals in La Liga this season and over 50 at the club since his 2009 switch from Lyon.
