Berlusconi to persuade Kaka to stay

AC Milan are prepared to go the extra mile to convince star player Kaka to remain at San Siro beyond the current season, reports Il Corriere dello Sport.

The Brazilian has yet to make a decision whether he will be staying with the Rossoneri or moving to the MLS in the summer, with his exit clause active until 30th June this year.

AC Milan officials are, however, hoping the midfielder will decide to stay and become the leader of Clarence Seedorf’s squad.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, former owner Silvio Berlusconi is prepared to help the club in their quest by speaking personally to the player.

The controversial businessman has an excellent relationship with Kaka and he wants him to remain at San Siro.

Much will depend on team’s finish to the current season though as they need to continue the good run of results if they are to have any chance of keeping hold of the Brazilian.
