(GSM) – A late equalizer by Sahin Aygunes gave Kasimpasa a hard-earned point on Friday in a 2-2 draw with Turkish title challengers Besiktas.
Kasimpasa held the visitors at bay through 62 minutes before they finally took the lead on Gökhan Gulec’s drive past Rustu Reçber.
Besiktas, though, fought back with goals from Rodrigo Tello (74) and Bobo (77) to grab a 2-1 lead and what seemed to be three points to send them top of the league standings.
But Aygunes – subbed on just two minutes earlier for Gulec – bagged the equalizer with five minutes left to play to dash Besiktas’ hopes.
They are now a point behind leaders Galatasaray and level in second place with Bursaspor.
