Turkish media outlet Milliyet has reported that Besiktas have entered the race for the 30-year-old Barcelona playmaker Arda Turan.
Former Atletico Madrid looks set to leave Camp Nou during the winter transfer market with Barcelona keen to let Turan leave for the right price.
Turan is under contract that runs out in 2020 but does not feature in Ernesto Valverde’s first-team plans. Despite rumours of a reported interest from China, Arda Turan is said to be set for a return to homeland with Turkish champions Besiktas leading the race for his signature.
Former Galatasaray star could make a shock switch to rivals Besiktas during winter if Besiktas board of directors approve a move.
Besiktas are said to be keen to bring Turan on loan with option to buy at the end of the season.
The Istanbul outfit would reportedly be willing to invest up to €30 million to get Turan off Barcelona’s books and to present Turan with a €5 million a year offer to tempt him over.
