Liberian Football Association president Musa Bility has seen his bid to replace Sepp Blatter as FIFA president rejected due to a failed integrity check, while Michel Platini remains under a 90-day suspension.

Blatter and Platini – currently suspended from their positions as presidents of FIFA and UEFA respectively – have been accused of corruption in relation to an alleged “disloyal payment” made from FIFA to the Frenchman in 2011.

Both deny the allegations and have appealed their suspensions, with Platini’s bid to replace Blatter at next year’s extraordinary congress only due to be considered when his suspension is served.

However, Liberian football chief Bility has failed in his bid to stand as a candidate after FIFA revealed it had not admitted the candidature “in view of the content of the integrity check report relating to him”.

As such, the five candidates to replace long-standing president Blatter are Prince Ali Al Hussein, Sheikh Salman Bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, Jerome Champagne, Gianni Infantino and Tokyo Sexwale.
