a says AC Milan’s disappointing start to the season has generated a sense of bitterness in the dressing room.
The Rossoneri were held to a scoreless draw in Tuesday’s UEFA Champions League Group C opener at home to Anderlecht, but the young attacker is adamant they are on the right track and have to keep up the hard work.
“For us at the moment, the three points would be very important,” El Shaarawy told the club’s official website.
“There’s bitterness and disappointment. We know that it’s not a good spell, but we have to react.
“We’re a compact and united group, able to overcome difficulties. The fans must have faith in us and the team has to be aware of its abilities.
“We’re continuing to create a lot of chances. We have to stay on this road because it’s the right one.
“The goals will come, we just have to think about working ahead of the next game.”
