AS Roma captain Francesco Totti blasted Danish player Christian Poulsen, who recently made a move to Serie A rivals Juventus.
The two players first met in a group match at Euro 2008 between Italy and Denmark, and Totti ended up spitting his opponent in his face, with a three-match ban as result.
Poulsen realizes that it won’t be easy to gain popularity in Italy after that event, especially since Totti claimed that it was the Dane’s behaviour that triggered the whole situation in the first place.
In an interview with the Gazzetta dello Sport, Totti gave his view on the matter: “He should have worried before. It’s easy to talk now. Right after the match he should have gone to the arbitrary commission to tell the truth.”
As far as Poulsen’s value for Juventus goes, Totti’s opinion is even more negative: “I think that Poulsen won’t add anything to Juventus.”
- Juventus midfielder chase continues - next up, Sevilla’s Christian Poulsen
- Juventus snap up Poulsen, on the trail of Manninger
- Juventus set to sign Poulsen
- No comeback yet for Totti

Got something to say?

Euro 2008… Denmark were not in Euro 2008… More like 0-0 draw in Euro 2004.
Totti is a drama queen at the end of her career!
