Blackburn say no to Enckelman contract extension (SN)

Blackburn Rovers will not be extending the contract of goalkeeper Peter Enckelman, who played the FA Cup final with Cardiff City last Saturday.

Enckelman, who played for Cardiff on loan from the Premiership side, failed to control a cross in the first half, allowing Nwankwo Kanu to score the only goal of the match.

During the four years in which Enckelman had a contract with Blackburn, he only played three matches for the rovers.

At Cardiff, the player is an appreciated addition and has already been offered a contract by manager Dave Jones.
