Blackburn’s Ince denies pressure and adds a bit of realism

Increasingly criticised Blackburn boss Paul Ince insists he is not feeling the pressure at the moment. Yesterday’s defeat was their ninth game without winning and left them in the relegation zone.

Blackburn’s worst run of results in twelve years has seen speculation grow about the long-term prospects of the manager.

But while Ince agrees that he is not enjoying Blackburn’s current predicament, he also explains that there is more pressure in ‘real life’ than there is in football.

“This is not pressure. When you’ve got four kids, you live on your own, you can’t find a job and you’ve got mouths to feed, that is pressure. I don’t like where we are today but there are worse things in life. Nobody can question the spirit of the team. They are willing to die for each other. My players’ heads will never go down.”

It is nice to see someone ‘keeping it real’. Having said that, I don’t believe him. I bet he is feeling the pressure!
