Laurent Blanc is confident that Paris Saint-Germain will complete a move for Marquinhos in the very near future.

The French champions are keen to add the 19-year-old Brazilian to their ranks and have been keeping track of the Roma defender for some time.

Marquinhos, who started his career in his home country with Corinthians, proved his worth in Serie A last term, ousting experienced Argentina international Nicolas Burdisso from Roma’s defence.

And Blanc, who has already been busy in the transfer mark this close-season, revealed that a deal is imminent.

“He is young, very talented and with great potential,” he said, in quotes reported by Sky Sports.

“It’s a dossier that’s been going on a long time and will come to fruition this afternoon (Friday), I hope.

“This proves that PSG are also recruiting for the future, he offers us a certain guarantee for the future.”

PSG have recently secured the services of Edinson Cavani and Lucas Digne as they seek to strengthen their squad in order to retain their Ligue 1 title and make a challenge for the UEFA Champions League next season.
