Radio Marca is reporting that Barcelona are hot on the trail of Jerome Boateng and Aymeric Laporte.
The Catalans aim to recruit a high-profile centre-back in the near future and the two footballers are high on their wish list.
Even if Barcelona unsuccessfully attempted to lure them to Camp Nou in the past, they are ready to make things right and recruit one of the two players.
Jerome Boateng appears to be their number one target, but prizing him away from Bayern Munich is not going to be an easy task, whilst Athletic have no intention to let Laporte leave unless a club match a €40 million release clause.
Barcelona officials aim to wrap up the deal in the summer transfer window, but they would then allow the player to remain with his current side for another season before moving to Camp Nou, with the Catalans unable to register new players before January 2016.
