The strike threatened by the Boavista squad over their salaries from February and March as well as 60% of the December not having yet been paid, has been called off.
The strike was due to be called today just before the kick off in their Portuguese Premier League against Nacional Madeira.
However the players have been guaranteed part of their outstanding salaries this coming Wednesday and the balance on 5 May, a spokesman for the club said.
It is believed that the twenty three players are owed a total of 200 000.
