Bolton Wanderers striker Kevin Davies has come out and said that his club has become better off without Nicolas Anelka who was transferred to Chelsea during the transfer window in January of the previous season.
Davies also said that he was looking forward to teaming up with a new striking partner Johan Elmander who was bought from French club Toulouse for ₤12 million.
Davies went on to say that AnelkaÂ’s shyness and temperament were very difficult to gauge and while he brought the club a host of goals he didnÂ’t contribute much to team spirit and formation.
Anelka was purchased from Fenerbahce for ₤8 million and sold to Chelsea for ₤15 million.
