Competition: National League

Market: Boreham Wood to beat AFC Flyde

Odds: 11/8 @ Bet365

In a National League season that was often to close to call, on Thursday night AFC Flyde and Boreham Wood will know that they’re now just two games away from booking a spot in the Football League next year.

For Luke Garrard’s Boreham Wood side, after only managing to secure an 11th place finish in the National League table last season, The Wood have enjoyed an incredibly successful season that was highlighted by a remarkable 12 game unbeaten run before the New Year. Coming off the back of a 3-1 home win against Guiseley last weekend, while Boreham Wood may have lost three of their last five in the National League, the Whites have now only lost one in their last six at Meadow Park and have now scored seven in their last three outings, and went unbeaten against their visitors in both league matches this year.

As for Dave Challinor’s AFC Flyde side, in just their first season in the National League after being promoted last season, The Coasters have embarked on a record-breaking season that has left them still dreaming off back to back promotions and a spot in the Football League next year. With just their goal difference securing seventh spot and the final playoff position, it has been Flyde’s form in the final third that has been most impressive. Although Flyde have not won any of their last three, the Coasters hold the best-attacking stats in the division, scoring 82 in their 46 league appearances.
