Fabio Borini has played down reports linking him with a move to English Premier League giants Liverpool.

The striker, who joined Roma in a co-ownership deal from Parma despite signing

for Roma only a month before, was signed outright by the capital club for 5.3

million euros in a blind auction.

However, reports had surfaced linking Borini, who spent time on loan at Swansea

two seasons ago, with a move to Liverpool, now managed by ex-Swans boss Brendan

Rodgers.

Nonetheless, the forward refused to be drawn on his future.

“I am at Roma now,” Borini told Goal.com.

“Roma have just bought me, either today or yesterday.

“It’s not my business now to go to Liverpool or to stay. I don’t know (if

there is a possibility of doing so). For now, I am a Roma player.”

Borini impressed in 2011/12 for Roma, scoring nine times in Serie A to earn a

place in Cesare Prandelli’s 23-man Italy squad at Euro 2012.
