Borussia Dortmund want Maxwel Cornet as Ousmane Dembele replacement

The German giants Borussia Dortmund seem to have made peace with the fact Ousmane Dembele is leaving the club during the summer transfer window.

The 20-year-old French forward has been visibly frustrated at club ever since Spanish club Barcelona expressed interest in signing him and Dembele appears to have set his heart on a Barca move despite Dortmund’s effort to keep him.

The latest reports, however, claim that Bundesliga heavyweights are ready to negotiate a potential summer transfer, whereas Kicker also suggest that a replacement for Dembele has already been identified.

Dortmund want to sign Olympique Lyon 20-year-old starlet Maxwel Cornet, who is under contract with the French outfit until 2021.

Cornet’s market value is set at €10 million, but Lyon are expected to demand at least double the amount for their hot prospect.

The Ivory Coast international joined Lyon in 2014/15 season from Metz. Last year he made the total of 33 Ligue 1 appearances, adding six goals in the process for his club.
