Both teams to score at Derby vs Leeds 1/1 in Saturdays Championship Clash

Competition: Championship

Market: Both teams to score

Odds: 1/1 @ Bet 365

Two sides who got off to a winning start last weekend and are tipped by many as two of the pre-season contenders will clash on Saturday afternoon when Derby welcome Leeds to Pride Park.

Starting with Frank Lampard’s Derby side, after an impressive run of form in pre-season saw The Rams pick up wins over the likes of Southampton and Wolves, there is an air of excitement around Pride Park. Despite falling 1-0 behind at Reading in their Championship opener and failing to impress in the first half, The Whites put on an impressive second 45 and goals from summer signing Mason Mount and a 94th-minute winner from Tom Lawrence insured Derby left the Madejski with all three points. While it may have been more of a smash and grab for the former Chelsea captain in his managerial league debut, the hosts have been in fine goalscoring form and have found the net in every match Lampard has taken charge.

Well, although they could only secure a 13th place finish in the Championship last season, spirits could not be higher at Elland Road and many believe this could be the year that ends their near 15 years away from the top flight. Bringing in vastly experienced manager Marcelo Bielsa earlier in the summer, Leeds put on undoubtedly the performance of the weekend when they breezed past bookies favorites Stoke 3-1 on Sunday. Along with forward Kemar Roofe finding the net and putting on a Man of the Match performance in Sunday’s victory, The Whites have also added 24-year-old striker Patrick Bamford to their ranks and possess plenty of talent in the final third.
