Sochaux wideman Ryad Boudebouz says he is open to the idea of moving to the Premier League with Southampton.

The 23-year-old has scored 23 goals in 162 appearances in Ligue 1 since making his debut for the French club at the age of 18 – form which has seen him linked with a switch to one of Europe’s bigger leagues.

And, with Southampton the latest club believed to have expressed an interest, Boudebouz is keen to examine any offers.

“I have a contract until 2014 here so let’s see what the club will say, I am open to talk,” he told Sky Sports.

“My dream has always been to play in England or Spain. To be linked with Southampton is interesting; it is everyone’s dream to be linked with good teams in big leagues in Europe.

“Southampton has a good history in the Premier League but I have a contract with Sochaux who is like Southampton in France.”

Boudebouz has been capped 15 times by Algeria, and has scored once at international level.
