Bournemouth linked with De Guzman deal

Bournemouth have joined the race to sign Napoli midfielder Jonathan de Guzman, according to the Mail Online.

The Netherlands international, who rejected the chance to sign for Sunderland last week is now set to join Eddie Howe’s side who are four games in to their first ever season in the Premier League.

De Guzman moved to Naples from Villareal last summer having spent the 2013/14 campaign on loan at Swansea City.

He has been absent from both of Maurizio Sarri’s match-day squads so far this campaign, and started just twelve Serie A games in the entirety of last season.

The twenty-seven year old has been capped fourteen times for his country, with three of those appearances coming at last summer’s World Cup finals.

The Cherries drew with Leicester City on Saturday afternoon to make it four points from four games, and they can now be backed at 1/3 to avoid relegation.
