Bradford City have been thrown out of the FA Cup having used on-loan Australian defender Curtis Good without proper written permission.

The English FA have confirmed on Friday that Bradford City did not have the necessary written permission required for Good to play against Brentford in their second-round FA Cup tie on November 30.

Good, who transferred from Melbourne Heart to English Premier League side Newcastle United in August, only joined Bradford City on a short-term loan deal on November 23 and made his debut against Brentford.

The 19-year-old central defender made an error to gift Brentford the opening goal last week but Bradford City fought back and equalised in the second half to force a replay, which was set for December 19.

Brentford are now set to advance to the FA Cup third round unless Bradford City successfully appeal their expulsion from the competition.
