(GSM) – Fluminense failed to recover the top spot in the Brazilian Serie, as the away match to Flamengo ended in a 3-3 draw.

In the traditional ‘Fla-Flu’ clash, it was the visiting side to draw first blood through Leandro Euzebio after nine minutes.

Deivid then leveled for Flamengo in the 22nd minute and David made it 2-1 in the 40th.

Rodriguinho momentarily restored the balance for Fluminense in the 55th minute but Renato Abreu found the target for 3-2 another minute later.

Rodriguinho did have the final say at Joao Havelange Olympic Stadium in Rio de Janeiro as he netted another equaliser in the 72nd minute, 3-3.

Fluminense remain in second place at two points from leaders Corinthians, but do still have a game in hand.
