Odds: 6/5 @ Bet 365

Arguably billed as the pre-tournament favorites, Brazil will look to get off to a flying start when they face off against a tough Switzerland side at the Rostov Arena on Sunday.

For Tite’s Brazil side, after completely running away with the group during their South American qualifying campaign, The Yellows have enjoyed a stellar run of form in their build-up and Seleção are now tipped by many as the early favorites to lift the title. While Switzerland have enjoyed their own impressive run of form, they will struggle to keep out a Brazil side that are unbeaten in their last 11 and posses an extraordinary level of quality. Unsurprisingly, one man to watch for The Yellows will be talisman and captain Neymar. After fully recovering from a foot injury, the 26-year-old has now scored two in his last two for Tite’s side.

As for Switzerland, while Vladimir Petković’s side have enjoyed their own very successful run of form during their build-up, The Reds will know they undoubtedly face their toughest test on Sunday. Coming off the back of a 2-0 win over fellow finalists Japan, The Swiss will fancy their chances of securing the second qualification spot ahead of Costa Rica and Serbia. Although the last time the two sides met Switzerland did secure a 1-0 win over The Yellows, Petković’s side will need to be at their best if they want to pull of an extremely shocking upset.
