Manchester City officials have publicly announced that the club is close to signing Brazilian striker Jo and they are also looking at the possibilities of bringing Ronaldinho to the club. Both of these moves have been approved by new manager, Mark Hughes, according to Sky Sports.
“We have had a conversation with Mark Hughes about this because we wanted to see what he felt. But it would be fair to say we expect to see Jo at Manchester City,” said Garry Cook, Manchester City’s new chairman.
“We sat down with Mark and said, ‘here are some targets, what do you think?’ and he has been very clear in his thoughts and Ronaldinho is one of those.”
Striker Jo could cost Manchester City around £20 million if his move from CSKA does go through, while Ronaldinho’s wage demands could be a little bit high. But Manchester City will look to sign them both as Mark Hughes was told he needs to finish in the top 6 next season.
