Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel has reportedly been released from a rehabilitation facility.
Manziel, taken by the Browns with the second of their two first-round picks in the 2014 draft, was said to have checked in to a treatment centre for drug and alcohol addiction in February.
But a report from ESPN alleges that Manziel has left rehab, leaving him to focus on matters on the field.
Manziel has battled issues off the field since his days at Texas A&M. After a disappointing rookie season, Manziel admitted that he needed to take things more seriously if he wanted to have a successful NFL career.
While a starting quarterback hasn’t been named yet, Manziel is expected to be ready for the Browns’ offseason workouts, which begin on April 20.
