Aaron McLean and Cameron Stewart look set to leave Hull City after manager Steve Bruce revealed that he would allow them to go.
Both players were loaned out last season and Bruce confirmed that he is keen for them to play regularly in the coming campaign, either as a result of a permanent transfer or a loan deal.
“They’re here and unless something happens in the transfer market for them, they remain here. It’s as simple as that,” Bruce told the Hull Daily Mail.
“I do think it’s important that they go and play somewhere, but at the moment we haven’t had any offers as such.
“I’m sure they’d both want to play more football this season, but that’s not something I can guarantee here.”
McLean joined from Peterborough in 2011 and enjoyed a loan stint at Ipswich last season.
Former Manchester United midfielder Stewart has been loaned out to Blackburn and Burnley during his spell at the KC Stadium.
