Czech coach Karel Bruckner lauded Portugal's play-maker Cristiano Ronaldo after his match-winning showing in their Euro 2008 Group A clash in Geneva.
Ronaldo scored a fine goal and made two more in the 3-1 win which secured his side's Euro 2008 quarter-final berth and Bruckner said Ronaldo deserved special praise.
“He is probably the best player in the entire tournament,” said Bruckner admiringly.
“Ronaldo is one of the best players in the world, he is a very dangerous weapon.”
The Czechs beat the Swiss in their opening game and now their future hangs in the balance with Turkey to come.
“We have simply got to beat Turkey on Sunday to go through,” Bruckner acknowledged.
