The agent of Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon insists the Italian keeper is not close to joining Manchester City.
Reports in the Italian press today have suggested City are ready to make a £50million bid for the 30-year-old.
Silvano Martina insisted: “We know nothing about this news.
“I haven’t heard anything and, to be honest, the clubs haven’t come forward.
“Usually the interested clubs will contact either Juventus or the agents but I have not heard from anyone.
“I am sure City like the player but there is nothing if no-one comes forward.”
City are currently struggling with injuries to several of their goalkeepers and is looking to bring in a new one on an emergency loan deal.
