Busquets admits to Spanish divisions

Sergio Busquets claims it has not been easy for Barcelona and Real Madrid players to unite in the Spain camp ahead of Euro 2012.

The Catalan midfielder has often been locked in a war of words with his Blancos counterparts, most notably during last year’s run of Clasico derbies.

However, Busquets is adamant such personal differences will not adversely affect Spain’s quest to defend the European title won in Vienna four years ago.

“Here we are all striving for the same and (any problem) must be left outside when you play. Everyone wants the best.” the 23-year-old said.

“True, there were moments that were not so good, but now everything is normal. We’re the same team, fighting for the same and everything is perfect. We are partners.

“It is difficult to have a friendship with someone who is not (of) your club that you do not look at all year.

“But there is no problem. To think that is nonsense.”

Spain begin their Euro 2012 campaign against Italy in Group C on Sunday.
