Inter Milan midfielder Esteban Cambiasso will be suspended for one match after being sent off against Juventus on Saturday.
The Argentine was shown a straight red card late in the 2-1 home loss after a reckless tackle on Sebastian Giovinco, and has now been suspended for one game as a result.
Inter initially feared Cambiasso would be handed a severe ban following his late lunge on the Italy international, but the 32-year-old will only sit out the match against Sampdoria on Wednesday.
Cambiasso entered the Juventus dressing room immediately after the final whistle to apologise to Giovinco.
The attacker missed a training session on Sunday as a result of the tackle, but has been included in Juventus’ squad for the Champions League quarter-final first leg against Bayern Munich on Tuesday.
