Corinthians moved back to the top of the Campeonato Paulista with a 2-0 win at Portuguesa on Wednesday.
Tite’s side continued their unbeaten streak in the competition this season with the victory, which was set up by Willian’s strike after 29 minutes.
Peruvian Luis Alberto Ramirez sealed the win with a goal 12 minutes from time that saw Corinthians move back ahead of Palmeiras on the table.
Elsewhere, Sao Paulo came from two goals down to draw 3-3 at Bragantino in an exciting encounter.
Giancarlo and Fernando Gabriel gave the hosts a handy lead after 25 minutes but Jadson and Cicero hit back before half-time for Sao Paulo.
Cicero’s second on 59 minutes put the visitors in front but Romarinho produced a quick-fire response for Bragantino who won a well-earned point.
Santos won their fourth Campeonato Paulista fixture in a row as they defeated Comercial 2-0.
Ibson’s strike on 28 minutes handed Santos the initiative and they made sure of the three points when Durval netted with nine minutes to play.
In other matches, Leo Goncalves’ 86th minute strike saw Botafogo SP win 1-0 at Paulista, while Ponte Preta and Mogi Mirim also notched 1-0 wins against Ituano and Sao Caetano respectively.
Xuxa’s second-half equaliser saw Mirassol claim a point in a 1-1 draw at Linense.
