Waguininho scored an 80th-minute equaliser as Mogi Mirim denied Santos victory, holding them to a 2-2 draw in the Campeonato Paulista.

Mogi Mirim came from behind twice to hold Santos on their home turf as all three matches on Thursday ended in 2-2 draws.

Santos took the lead at the Estadio Urbano Caldeira in the 43rd minute when a flowing move down the right ended in a cross to Neymar at the back post, who laid the ball back to Cicero to smash into the bottom corner of the net.

The visitors hit back in the 52nd minute through Henrique, who stabbed home a free-kick from close range after a flick-on from Lucas Fonseca.

Santos had the better of the chances throughout the match and deservedly took the lead again when Cicero teed up the Giva with 21 minutes remaining but Mogi Mirim ensured a share of the points thanks to Waguininho’s thumping strike late on.

The result leaves Santos third on the Campeonato Paulista table, just two points ahead of fourth-placed Mogi Mirim.

Elsewhere, hosts Sao Bernardo scored twice in second-half injury time to steal a 2-2 draw against Atletico Sorocaba.

Cesar had doubled Atletico Sorocaba’s lead in the 81st minute but Sao Bernardo pulled off an incredible comeback with Luciano Castan and Gil scoring in the 92nd and 94th minutes respectively.

There was also a stoppage-time equaliser in the day’s other match, where Guarani struck late to salvage a 2-2 draw away to Oeste.
